Briefly in Business Smith creates new look for RSI

November 3, 2009, 12:00 am

Ithaca With the help of Ithaca's Smith Marketing Services, the Railway Supply Institute (RSI) has launched a new logo, theme-line, and Web site to mark the organization's new focus on supporting, connecting and advocating for its more than 250 member companies.

The membership survey, logo, theme-line and Web site are all the work of the RSI's agency, Smith Marketing Services (SMS), of Ithaca.

The RSI Web site provides the foundation for advanced grassroots and membership functions to be added in the coming year.

The RSI launched the organization's new look at its annual conference in Chicago, a mixed session of technical presentations, exhibitions and networking events.

SMS is a consultancy providing market research, advertising, public relations, interactive media and sales promotions to railroad suppliers and organizations, as well as tourism, banking and manufacturing companies.

The Railway Supply Institute acts on behalf of more than 250 of the largest manufacturers and suppliers to North American freight and passenger railroads, and their 150,000 employees.
