Schools and groups interested in forming a team for the Cornell NanoScale Facility Junior First Lego League Expo to be held in January can register at www.cnf.cornell.edu/cnf_jrfll.html.
Teams of up to six kids ages 6 to 9 work with an adult mentor to research, design, and build a Lego model that depicts an aspect of this year's "Smart Move" Challenge, which this year is accessing people, places, goods and services in the safest, most efficient way possible. Teams also create a "Show Me" poster detailing their experience with the project. The teams come together Saturday, Jan. 30, for the CNF Jr. FLL Expo, where they will present their work and meet reviewers. Teams should be formed by late November to allow time to prepare for the January Expo. More information can be found at www.cnf.cornell.edu/cnf_jrfll.html.
