Tompkins Cortland CC's Salar Ahmad scored a goal in the 85th minute to send the Panthers to the Region III semifinals where they'll meet top-seeded Herkimer at noon Saturday at TC3.

Broome CC coach Shane Cook said the game-winning goal came on a "mental mistake" by his team because they thought the ball had gone out of bounds prior to Ahmad's goal.

Magor Mgebgue, a 6-foot-4 freshman from the Bronx, scored two unassisted goals for the Panthers.
