"Lead Paint -- Testing, Safety Measures and Removal Techniques" will be held from 7-8:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 10 at Significant Elements, 212 Center St.
Mark Pierce, Cornell University Extension Associate in Housing, will cover testing methods for lead paint, personal protective equipment, a review of government regulations, and lead-safe work practices for homeowners, contractors and landlords. Pierce will also present options for safely stripping paint from architectural elements.
The program, which is free, is co-sponsored by Cornell Cooperative Extension of Tompkins County and Historic Ithaca's Significant Elements architectural salvage program. Note: This is not a training for EPA/HUD accreditation.
