The Tompkins County Public Library is offering aspiring poets ages 6 to 10 a chance to share their work at a Children's Poetry Slam from 2:30-4 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 22in the Thaler/Howell Programming Room.
Area children have been busy writing and collecting poetry in celebration of the Family Reading Partnership's 2009 Kid's Book Fest theme, "Put a Poem in Your Pocket" and now the library is inviting those children to share the poetry they have written or collected.
