While Friday in the Elmira area will see sunny skies and highs only in the lower 40s, climbing temperatures are expected through Monday, according to forecasts from the National Weather Service.

Friday will see overnight lows in the mid-20s. Highs will climb to the mid-50s Saturday, upper 50s Sunday and mid-60s Monday, before falling back to the upper 50s Tuesday.
