Cayuga Nordic Ski Club will hold its meeting Friday, Nov. 13, at Riley Robb Conference Room on the Cornell campus. The evening will start at 6 with social time followed by dinner at 6:30 with business meeting to follow.
Members should bring a dish to pass and own table service. The club will provide the beverages. The meeting is open to all.

* The Greek Peak Ski Club is accepting applications for membership. The club teaches skiing fundamentals and Ski Racing. You must be able to ride the chair lifts without help.

YMCA open house
The YMCA of Ithaca and Tompkins County will hold an open house during Health and Wellness Week. Saturday is free admission with a Wiffleball homerun tournament with prizes for ages 5-12. That will be from 1:30-3:30 p.m. in the gym. There will also be a racquetball tournament starting at 9 a.m. open to the public and membership. From 2:30-3:15 and 3:30-4:15 will be intro to cycling workshops. Sunday is free admission day with tours available.
Wizards return to Glen
The Harlem Wizards will face the "Slammin' Senecas," or Watkins Glen School District staff members, on the basketball court at 6 p.m. Nov. 23 in the High School Field House.
The Harlem Wizards basketball show team was formed in 1962 and has played more than 6,000 games in the US and abroad. Team members combine athleticism, teamwork, entertainment and community involvement to make each game unique and exciting.
The event was organized by the Watkins Glen Parent-Teacher Association to raise funds to support classroom activities.
Advance sale tickets are available during school hours at the Watkins Glen Elementary and Middle school offices and are $8 for students and seniors and $10 for adults. Advanced sale tickets also will be sold from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 18 in the Elementary School library. Tickets will be sold at the door at $10 for students and seniors and $12 for adults. Children 4 and under are free.
Bulldogs regroup
The Cortland Bulldogs are preparing for their second season in the Northeastern Football Alliance. A 2010 season informational meeting for interested players will be held at 7 p.m. Nov. 11 in the JM McDonald Sports Complex in Cortland.
