Engagement Form
Congratulations on your engagement! The Ithaca Journal wants to help you share your good news. Please follow these instructions to help us prepare your announcement:
• Provide first names for both parties. Do NOT use nicknames.
• If you wish to include a photograph with the wedding announcement, provide a good quality photo showing the couple close together, with heads nearly touching. To be published, photos may not be smaller than 1" by 1" or larger than 5" by 7". Instant photos will not reproduce and will not be published. The Ithaca Journal takes special care when handling photos, but is not responsible for lost or damaged photos. Please write both names of the couple and a mailing address on the back of the photo. Please note in the "miscellaneous information" field if you will be mailing a photo to us. Photos can also be sent electronically, send your e-mail to CNYcelebrations@gannett.com.
• Announcements will be published in our weekly Celebrations section on Saturdays. We will publish announcements within two to three weeks after they are received.
• In addition to sending the form below, Announcements are accepted in person, fax, e-mail and the internet. Announcements forms may be picked up at our office at 123 W. State St., Ithaca, NY. Completed forms may be dropped off at our office on W. State St. Mon-Fri. 8:30-5 p.m., mailed to the same address, faxed to 607-272-4335 or e-mailed to CNYcelebrations@gannett.com. If you choose to write your own announcement, make sure the length is appropriate for the announcement size you are reserving. Announcements that exceed the recommended word length will be edited at our discretion to fit the reserved space.
• All announcements require prepayment. Checks made payable to The Ithaca Journal may accompany your announcement. We also accept American Express, Discover, Visa and Master Card. An advertising representative will call you back during business hours to confirm your ad placement, arrange for payment and any additional details required. All paid packages may include a photo. Photos can be submitted in black and white or color. Photos should not be smaller than 1"x1" or larger than 5"x7". Instant photos will not reproduce and therefore cannot be published. The Journal takes care when handling photos, but is not responsible for lost or damaged photos. Please write both names of the parties on the back of the photo. Please note in the "miscellaneous information" field if a photo will be forthcoming and how it will be delivered. Photos may be dropped off at our office or mailed to:

If you would like your photo returned, please include a self-addressed, stamped envelope or stop by our office at 123 W. State St., Ithaca, NY Mon-Fri. 8:30-5 pm.
By submitting an announcement, you grant The Ithaca Journal the right to publish, distribute, archive or otherwise use the information and any photograph submitted with it in whole or in part, in print, electronic or any other media and for promotional purposes related to the Journal's products and services. In addition, you represent that you have the right to authorize The Journal to use the information and/or photograph you are submitting.

Connie graduated from Ithaca High School and has a Bachelor of Science degree, is a private pilot, and is a published creative writer. John graduated from Newfield Central School and has a Bachelor of Science degree, and is the Chief Financial Officer for Jumbo Turbo Blading.
A September 21, 2008 wedding is planned in Ithaca.
