ITHACA -- On the last day of the Interscholastic Athletic Conference regular season, a number of basketball teams have already been crowned division champions. For a handful of others, though, all is yet to play for.
ITHACA -- Last weekend, the Ithaca High girls' hockey team got a second chance to repeat as state champion, and the team is hoping to make the most of it Friday night against a familiar opponent.
ITHACA -- Eisah Nunn scored 18 points on six 3-pointers, including the go-ahead bucket with eight seconds to play, to lead the Ithaca High boys to a 72-69 victory over Elmira Tuesday night in Southern Tier Athletic Conference basketball at Bliss Gym.
LANSING -- Christian Brothers Academy of Syracuse scored twice in a 1-minute, 50-second span of the third period to break a 1-all tie and go on to a 3-2 victory in boys' hockey Tuesday evening at The Rink.

ITHACA -- After his team's practice on Saturday, Ithaca High girls hockey coach Paul Zarach announced to his team that Potsdam was beating St. Lawrence Central, 3-0. It was good news, since the Little Red's only hope for a berth in the state semifinals was Potsdam winning its divisional title game.
WAVERLY -- The Waverly boys and girls were winners for the second straight year at the Interscholastic Athletic Conference bowling championships, held Saturday at Valley Bowling Center.

CICERO -- Anthony Massicci and Balazs Szegletes both notched a goal and an assist and Brandon Kasel made 26 saves as the Ithaca High boys' hockey team shut out Central Square, 3-0, Friday at the Twin Ice Rinks.

ITHACA -- A meeting of the top boys basketball teams in the Large South division headlines Friday night's Interscholastic Athletic Conference schedule, as first-place Waverly puts its 14-1 record and 10-0 conference mark to the test at second-place Elmira Notre Dame (12-2).
HORSEHEADS -- After Ithaca rallied to tie the game early in the third quarter, Horseheads connected on three straight 3-pointers on its way to a 62-57 victory Wednesday night that clinched the Southern Tier Athletic Conference West boys basketball title.
